Formerly the system director of radiology services for Baptist Health in Montgomery, Alabama, he has also served as director of diagnostic radiology at Columbia East Montgomery Medical Center; assistant director of radiology at Baptist Medical Center; director of diagnostic radiology at Humana Hospital-East Montgomery; and chief technologist, department of radiology, Humana Hospital-East Montgomery.
Patterson is a member of the American Society of Radiologic Technology; the Alabama Society of Radiologic Technology; the Montgomery Society of Radiologic Technology; and American Healthcare-Radiology Administrators.
Patterson earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Faulkner University in Management Human Resources as well as an Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology from the University of Alabama in Birmingham (RTI), where he was named Outstanding Student Award for the years 1976 - 1978. He and wife Diane have one grown son, Brandon.
